My daughter, sister, a friend from
Atlanta and myself spent
some time in Downtown
Chipley on my daughter's
birthday. She wanted to
check out the "Doghouse"
for some pet treats.
What fun items they have
in there. We then
meandered on down the
sidewalk to the Antique
Mall where she was
treated to a concert
from Mr. Hershel. We
ended our afternoon by
stopping by Phoenix
Illusions and visiting
with Ms. Ellen, who's
birthday was to be the
next day. Todd used his
artistic talents to
fashion a beaded
"medicine" pouch for the
birthday girl and there
were smiles all around.
The increasing feeling
of COMMUNITY among the
merchants makes for a
relaxing and fun way to
shop for those unique
gifts and experiences we
all wish for.

On June 30 I received a call
from a lady in Santa Rosa
County. She had seen
our ad on the internet (www.DowntownChipley.com)
and was impressed. She
wanted to get some
information on my weight
loss program (healthy eating
program). I told her I
would be glad to help her
and if she wanted we could
do a once a month for her,
since she had to travel so
far to get here.
